What is Inclusicare?

THANK YOU FOR VISITING! THIS SITE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT CREATING A GREAT, SEARCHABLE DATABASE FOR INCLUSIVE PRACTICES. FOLLOW INCLUSICARE ON FACEBOOK FOR UPDATES.

Welcome to the LGBTQ healthcare directory network!

Inclusicare is a resource for LGBTQ people to use in finding providers of healthcare who are thoughtful, engaging, and eager to assist persons in the LGBTQ community in receiving the care they deserve. This means being educated, aware, and open to improving in inclusive care.

The database was first founded by Jaye Simpson, who experienced this need personally and professionally. Jaye created the original database as a starting point for anyone who needed to find a care provider surrounding parenthood who would not discriminate based on gender identity or sexual preference. She also sought to educate other professionals on how to be a thoughtful caregiver for families of all types. When it was time for her to retire, she looked to pass the torch so that this resource would not be lost. She put her trust in Renee and Jessica.

Renee Beebe, M.Ed, IBCLC, RLC

Jessica Altemara, IBCLC, RLC, TTD

Jessica and Renee are two LGBTQ Allies working in the field of lactation as IBCLC’s in private practice. They have inclusive practices and are comfortable working with whomever may need their help. They know there is a need for the folks in the LGBTQ community to find inclusive practices for their health care—especially health care that is very intimate in nature, like that surrounding pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and child rearing.

Currently Inclusicare’s focus is to provide safe referrals for individuals seeking care around child-bearing. Included so far are professionals related to conception, prenatal, pregnancy and postpartum. We’d love to list your contact info for yourself and/or your facility. If you are an inclusive provider in any of the following areas, please join us!
